Google Data Now More (But Not Completely) Secure From Prying Governments

With recent leaks involving NSA and other countries’ intelligence services privacy has become more important than ever. Google has said it’s upgraded its security and encryption methods to keep these prying eyes out. However, the company is still vulnerable to requests for information through the Patriot Act and courts said Schmidt, Google’s chairman:

We are pretty sure that now that the info inside of Google is safe from prying eyes, including those of the US government

There are reports that the NSA infiltrated Google’s network in 2013 to gather information – without Google’s knowledge. According  to Schmidt, he sees that as the same as any other country trying to break into the network and therefore Google has upgraded it’s security.
